Longevity on Oprah and in WSJ

Oprah’s Dr. Oz just did a segment on longevity and caloric restriction where he said that “There’s one man in Oprah’s audience who may become the first man in history to live to be 150 years old.” Caloric restriction is the only known way at the moment to extend life.

Also, today in the WSJ, there was an article about an odd couple who thinks that making themselves uncomfortable will help them live longer. I have news for them: it will only make them *feel* like they are living longer! Sadly, there are still many quacks around when it comes to the topic of life extension. The only reason the WSJ covered this is because the couple had been funding their odd “experiment” using funds made through Madoff’s ponzi scheme.
