I attended a small Lead21 gathering last night featuring Senator Ensign (R-NV). Topics we discussed included stem cell research (he supports working with adult stem cells), Iraq (he thinks Americans aren’t hearing the full story and that there’s some positive things happening over there), telecom (he introduced one of the most free market bills any of us has seen in a while – I wrote about it here), and e-voting (my colleague Vince Vasquez asked the Senator about his bill supporting paper trails when there are other, less expensive, ways to do back-ups). Overall, I got a good vibe from Sen. Ensign and look forward to seeing more of his work.
