Longevinex, a company that makes nutracuticals, recently took issue with the idea that large doses of resveratrol help fight the aging process. Instead, they say that lower doses work better when combined with other substances. In discussing their product, they say that, “In a breakthrough study using laboratory mice, the matrix of Nutriceuticals was found to produce more striking changes in gene expression, and influence more genes, in comparison to mice placed on research-grade resveratrol or a calorie restricted (CR) diet.” Here’s another press release.
It will be interesting to see what other, less interested parties, have to say about their research.
Maybe 100 glasses of wine aren’t necessary?
