Here’s my coloumn in TNW today urging government to stay out of designing technology.

Once again, you’ve hit the bull’s eye, Sonia. Anytime some group squawks about some perceived problem, government’s first impulse is to overreact and propose deadening regulations. Government’s motto seems to be: why use tweezers when a sledge hammer is available? The best way to combat these thoughtless knee-jerk reactions is to shine the spotlight on them and inform the public, which is what you do so well. Kudos again, Lance Izumi
