The Flawed Focus of Universal Broadband

Regulations that attempt to control markets from above ignore what really drives them: consumer demand. A universal broadband plan that relies on top-down mandates is likely to be cumbersome, unworkable and economically destructive. A better approach for the FCC would be to reduce regulatory and taxation barriers that stymie choice.
